Meet the sustainable beer

Beer made from rain water

The Oktoberfest is around the corner, a festival that unites thousands of beer fans through dances, reunions and other traditions. But anyway we aren’t going to explain to you what the Oktoberfest is, you already know that. What you might not know is the story about beer design that we are about to share with you now. Do you want to know more?

When packaging isn’t the most important thing

We usually share stories and contents that have to do with packaging design and sustainability and today will be no different. We are going to talk about sustainability and design but our protagonist won’t be the container but the content.

The beer that falls from the sky

We have bumped into news that has surprised us and that is why we didn’t want to miss the chance to share it in our blog. It’s about a beer that is made from rain water collected from the roof of the Manchester City stadium. This initiative has been created by Xylan and Manchester City football club in order to raise awareness about water scarcity and the future consequences when consuming irresponsibly.

According to Joseph Vesey, senior vice-president and Xylem marketing director, and Jan Karl Nielebock, Xylem beer expert, the beer produced in collaboration with Herforder beer craft, fulfils all strict protocols of handcrafted beer. Moreover, adds that the best ingredients have been used for the beers’ creation.

We could confirm that Reuse Brew is for those who make a toast for a more sustainable future.
